Stage 1

The Free Home Visit

People sometimes ask why we won't just price it off a photo. Here's why: when the Scottish Government last surveyed the country's housing, 48% of occupied homes had disrepair to critical elements — the structural and weather-tightness parts of the building. You call us, send a quote request, or message on WhatsApp. We book a time that suits you — usually within the same week. The visit takes 30 to 60 minutes at your kitchen table. We measure the bathroom properly with a laser, photograph the existing layout, ask the questions that change the design (do you want a bath, do you need a shower seat, where does the soil stack run, who actually uses the room) and bring real samples — wet wall finishes, LVT colourways, fixture options.

You get a fixed written quote on the day. No "we'll be in touch", no follow-up sales call, no pressure to sign on the spot.

You read the quote

The written quote is itemised — you can see what's in each line. Take a week, get other quotes, talk to the family. We'd rather you took your time than rushed.

You confirm a start date

Once you're ready, we agree a start date — usually 2 to 3 weeks out, depending on the materials lead-time. Cash customers pay a small deposit to lock the slot; finance customers pay nothing.

We order the materials

We order everything from our trade suppliers and store it at the yard until install day — your hallway doesn't fill up with boxes a fortnight in advance.

Stage 3 — The 5 to 7 Day Install

A standard fit, day by day. Some jobs run shorter, some longer — we'll tell you which at the quote stage.

Day 1

Strip-out & first fix

We arrive with dust sheets and corner protectors, lay them from your front door to the bathroom, and start the strip-out. Old suite, old wall finishes, old flooring all bagged and out the door before lunch. First-fix plumbing and electrics begin in the afternoon. Here's who's in the van.

Day 2

Boarding & battening

Walls are battened and insulated where required, then boarded with moisture-resistant board. Floor is checked, replaced if rotten, overboarded with WBP ply ready for the LVT.

Day 3

Wet wall & flooring

Wet wall panels go up — full-height, properly sealed at every joint. LVT flooring is laid and trimmed in. The room starts to look like a bathroom again.

Day 4

Suite installation

WC, basin, shower, bath (where included), towel rail and any wall-hung units all fitted. Plumbing tested and the room left watertight overnight.

Day 5

Second fix & finish

Sanitary silicone, mirror, accessories, electrical second-fix (lighting, extractor, shaver socket), final clean. We test every joint and run before we leave the site.

Day 6+

Optional extras

Underfloor heating, full-room re-tile, custom tiling details and structural changes can extend the fit by 1–2 days. We tell you exactly which days at the quote stage.

Stage 4

The Walk-Through

On the last day, we walk through the bathroom together. We test the shower, check the seals, run the taps, point out anything you should know about the fixtures, and hand over the manuals, warranty registrations and the BS 7671 electrical certificate.

Then — and only then — you sign the job off and settle the balance. Workmanship is guaranteed for 12 months from this date.

What We Don't Do

Just so we're clear — three things you won't find on any of our jobs.

Subcontractors

Zero. The team that designs your bathroom is the team that fits it. You have one phone number, one point of contact, and one company on the hook for the work.

Surprise extras

If the quote says £4,500, the bill says £4,500. We don't "discover problems" mid-job that conveniently bump the number up.

Pay-up-front demands

You don't release final payment until you've walked through the finished bathroom. Snags get fixed before settlement, not after.
